This was a piece of concept art I made that was going to be coloured and included in a series pitch I worked on at university called Comic Strip City. The idea of the show, was that each episode of the series was split into different ‘comic strips’, small episodes including different characters, but they all lived in the same city so sometimes interacted with each other in crossovers. One of them was The Slipman, who was a Batman type hero who appeared to save the day and then slipped away. I wanted to create villians quickly so I based them all on nursery rhyme characters, here being Jack and Jill. Beyond sending it to the BBC, I never did anything with Comic Strip City, but I still think it’s a good idea for a show.
