Daft Character #8! I love that no matter how many of these I do, I could do them for the rest of my life, there would always be an infinite amount of differences I could do for each character.

I created these playing card designs as part of an exhibition I did at Funky Aardvark (Bridge St in Chester). I really enjoyed coming up with visual interpretations of the names of the different cards. Together with all the other designs, it was a very special exhibition. Speaking of which, my Robin Williams portrait drawing will be exhibited (and for sale) at the Funky Aardvark Open Exhibition starting this Friday with a Preview at 7:00pm. Please come this Friday if you are free or sometime in the two weeks following. Ciao and bless ya!

buildings-4

Building #4 – a wibbly wobbly Cathedral. The hardest day of the week is drawing a building. I find it relatively easy to draw a character, harder to draw someone else’s character, but still not as challenging as drawing a building, as with this I’m trying to create a unique building inspired by a few buildings. With today’s cathedral (suggested by Yvonne Stubbington), I have used many images of cathedrals to construct it. Because of the detail and short time I try to spend on doing these daily drawings, it’s hard to make it look as professional as I want, making it a little wibbly wobbly. However, I actually like it a lot more than I did just before I scanned it. So yay! Toodles and God bless.

buildings-3

This week’s building was based on the Chester Council Building, as suggested by Stephen and Katie Corbett. I like the shape of the council building but I wanted to change it in some way, so I made it taller. If you have any ideas of types of buildings I could draw please message them my way! God bless and see you Monday.

daft-character-6

Daft Character #6! This character was almost wide-mouthed like the last two but I was able to change it. It’s nice to draw different emotions for each of the characters I come up with.

wonder-woman-drawing-for-blog

Recently I did a commissioned drawing of Wonder Woman for a friend and I was very pleased with how it came out. 2H and HB pencils on A2 size paper. If you have anything you want drawing please let me know, I do anything from cartoony to realistic.

Tribute 3

Tribute #3! I was finding it hard to be inspired to draw a building today but I knew which tribute I wanted to do this week, so I went ahead and did this one! The Mr Men and Little Miss books were a big inspiration on me growing up and I still get excited when Adam Hargreaves comes up with a new one now!

If anyone has ideas for buildings that I could work on please send suggestions my way!
