This week’s object is the gun. I drew these for a very specific reason, being that the comic pitch I am working on at the moment involves fighting terrorism and MI6 type characters that use guns for attack and defense. However, with the shootings that have been happening in the U.S. over the last few years, I’m not a huge fan of them or the idea of them being widely available to civilians.

Daft Character #33! Happy New Year! I am back to blogging this week, and there will be a few changes to what I do each day starting with hopefully something big on Friday, so stay tuned.

This week’s tribute, and my last post of 2016 is to Santa Claus, the legendary figure based on Saint Nicolas. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, a lovely new year and many blessings in 2017! I will resume posting sometime in January, so see you then! Merry Christmas!

Daft Character #32! I’ve always liked bizarre characters, and as I keep doing these daft characters, they are getting more and more strange. In the new year, expect them to get even weirder!

This week’s object is the desk. Offices come up a lot in stories I write for some reason, so it’s good to have a go drawing different kinds of desks to put in them.

Daft Character #31! This will be my last week of blogging before Christmas, as next week I want to wind my work down, but also perhaps put more focus into my comic pitch to get it done before Christmas. I’m not so worried about getting it done by Christmas now, as it’s more important that’s it’s as polished as it can be, but if it can be done by then, that would put a nice finality to the pitch, as it’s been my big project for this year. So we’ll see!

This week’s Tribute is to Goscinny and Uderzo’s Asterix who is equal to Tintin in my mind as a comic character. Growing up I enjoyed both series but didn’t always ‘get’ the humour in Asterix. In the last few years I have bought some I never read growing up and re-read some older ones and realised just how funny Asterix is! I hope to start reading through the whole series in 2017 as I did with Tintin this year.
