Daft Character #35! A peculiar lady… I haven’t said yet but I’m only doing one of these a week now as I have the new segments being the Logos and the podcast I started last week taking up room each week.
A very different new weekly segment! My friend Jamie and I have started a podcast called The Double Barrel Show where we talk about entertainment, mostly in the forms of TV, films and video games. Enjoy!

This week’s logo is for the Nintendo Switch, the new handheld/home console hybrid that is coming out in March and I will be getting for my birthday. A lot of the logos are based on the logos of comics from the early 20th century. I have a book of some of these old comics, so will be using that as reference for these logos.

A new segment for every other week, based on the techniques taught in my drawing class. Enjoy!

This week’s objects are kettles and tea pots. I love a good brew, and the characters in my comic pitch do too, so I thought I better learn how to draw different kettles and tea pots!

Daft Character #34! I quite like using my brush pen on a daft character because it’s very quick and freeing, and as a daft character is like a glorified doodle, it works well!

If you live in or around Chester and want to learn how to draw, please drop in on my drawing class, every Thursday!
I usually always design cards for my family at Christmas. This year I wanted a theme that was simple and so this penguin appeared through trying to create a character out of simple shapes. I was quite happy with the range of designs that came out, and if (and when) I send designs to card companies, renditions of some of these designs will surely go with them.

Logos! A new weekly post where I will design a logo. Each week I will use a different word or phrase, but for this first week I needed to design the actual logo for ‘Logos’, so here it is!
