tribute-7

This week’s tribute is to Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes. I can safely say this was the hardest tribute I’ve done so far. Mixed with the fact that Watterson has such a distinct style, I was also using the brush pen which helped to emulate the style, but I’m still learning how to use it. I discovered Calvin and Hobbes when I was a child and quickly fell in love with the characters, style and world that Watterson had created. Growing up I bought many of the books, but when I was a teenager I was given a complete box set in three books. I only finished reading it last year, as it’s so big, but no doubt I’ll be reading it again soon enough!
